A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to nonexistent addresses under the same domain name. For example, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from mates or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without difficulty if you’ve got a shared hosting account with our company. The Email Manager tool in our custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-rich, yet remarkably user-friendly, and it will allow you to activate different options, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have created will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and next to each of them you will see a small "Catch-all" button. Clicking it once will activate this feature, clicking on it once again will deactivate it. As you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you already have another one with this option enabled or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be created with a couple of mouse clicks if you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated package with us. The semi-dedicated account will be managed via our custom-created Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up mailboxes using any domain name registered there. To enable the catch-all functionality for a particular mailbox, you’ll need to click on the button with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address. Deactivating the feature can be done in the exact same way and will not require more than a click either. In case the catch-all option has already been activated for a specific domain name, you will receive a warning message. The same is valid if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never deactivate or edit any feature automatically.
